Native Americans Loans on tribal trust land are now available. Many tribes have taken the steps to become eligible for mortgage lending -Eligible Tribes. It very important to understand the timeline for mortgage lending on Indian Country will be longer than what is available off tribal land. Only a recorded homesite lease with the Bureau of Indian Affairs will be acceptable. Our first step will be to request a TSR (Title Status Report) with the BIA which is currently taking anywhere from 1 month up to 6 months to receive. That is why it so important that you begin your loan process immediately!
